in which data are collected through observation, survey or

The success of a
medical study however depends to a great extent, on the proper
interpretation of the data emanating from such a study.
Some of my science research job experience:
Semipalatinsk Soviet nuclear test
site research My team investigated human health effects of nuclear tests performed at the Semipalatinsk Nuclear Test Site the main test site of the USSR. We studied archive records on more than 60000 residents of the test site vicinity. I also had a three-month training in epidemiology,
medical and demographic statistics at the Hiroshima University’s Research
Institute for Radiation Biology and Medicine.
Practice as a medical educator

I gave a number of lectures on arrangement of scientific researches in
medicine and demography as well as ethics of clinical research in
several countries. I also an author of more than 30 books and
articles.
Development of medical software
algorithms I supervised and participated in two medical expert
systems
development. The systems were designed for diagnosis of chronic
diseases. Algorithms of diagnoses were described using logical formulas
of Boolean algebra and special
language developed for these systems. This specialized language allows
satisfactory description of disease syndromes using patient parameters,
numerical data of tests, and description of symptoms using textual and
graphical data. As criteria descriptions of diseases eMedicine, Merck
manual and GPnotebook sources were used. The expert
systems contain more than 2000 symptoms and diagnostic algorithms of
more than 1500 diseases.
Investigation of general and
reproductive health in adolescent girls
The study project which then was granted by McArthurs’ Foundation
was
developed by me. I aslo directed and controlled all project works,
performed statistical analysis and wrote the final report. One of the
goals of this study was searching for possible mercury health
impact in the residents of the city of Pavlodar situated near the
mercury contaminated area.
